A Simple Thank You 

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that participated in the recent fund raising events for the Farmingdale 11 year old tournament teams.

The car wash was a huge success and we surpassed our funding goal thanks to the support and generosity of the community, and the hard work of the parents and players who washed somewhere around 120 cars.

I would be remiss if I didn’t personally thank some of the individuals whose efforts went beyond the limits of reasonability. So special thanks to Vinny Saviano. He sponsored the Carvel fund raiser which supplemented the car wash and enabled the two teams to participate in the upcoming SYAG tournament in Ronkonkoma with no cost to the team members. I would also like to thank Ike Galanoudis whose efforts were relentless in making the car wash possible as well as lunch. Thanks to Tom Langon for printing all of the fliers gratis. Special thanks to some of the car washers who went beyond normal efforts in washing most of the cars, Debbie Venezia, Michele Darcy, Jake Rachiele who probably cleaned 80 percent of the tires and rims that day, Bruce Warren for volunteering to cook at the barbecue when the temperature was almost unbearable. A very special thanks goes out to Julia Rachiele who single handedly raised 50 dollars selling Christmas ornaments which she had hand crafted.

Last but not least I would like to thank my wife Lenore Castrogiovanni for her patience, support and understanding over the past few baseball seasons which can be very time consuming.

I know that I am leaving people out because so many people contributed their time and/or money, so once again thanks to the players on both teams, their parents, the coaches, the staff at Allen Park, the staff at Carvel and the community at large for their support.
